Bon Jovi Tickets
Sayreville, N.J.’s biggest musical export will be kicking off their 2008 "Lost Highway" tour in February, and Ticket Express has your Bon Jovi tickets.
Bon Jovi is fronted by lead singer Jon Bon Jovi, who put the band together in 1983 after a demo for the band’s first hit single, “Runaway” began receiving airplay on a New York radio station. The original band included Bon Jovi’s friend, keyboardist David Bryan, who helped recruit bassists Alec John Such and drummer Tico Torres. The band was completed with the addition of guitarist Richie Sambora.
After achieving some success with their first two albums, Bon Jovi broke out big with their 1986 release, “Slippery When Wet.” The follow-up album, “New Jersey” sparked five Top 10 hits and made Bon Jovi tickets one of the hottest tickets of the 1980’s.
With songs like “Bad Medicine” and “I’ll Be There For You” staples of rock radio and MTV airplay, Bon Jovi was one of the biggest rock acts of the late 1980’s. A Bon Jovi concert was an amazing event, with the band seemingly appearing out of nowhere among a flash of sparks as they opened their concerts with “Lay Your Hands On Me.”
The band took a two-year hiatus before coming out with “Keep The Faith” in 1992. Such left the band after that album’s tour, and the band has continued as a foursome since then.
Bon Jovi has continued its success over the years and has expanded its influence into other musical genres. Albums like “Crush” and “Have A Nice Day” have continued the band’s tradition of great rock albums, but the band pulled off a rare feat in 2006 when its single, “Who Says You Can’t Go Home” became the number one hit on the country charts, a first for a rock band. The song actually earned the band its first Grammy award, as it won the award for Best Country Collaboration With Vocals.
Bon Jovi’s influence in the rock world unknowingly presented itself during the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards when Bon Jovi and Sambora performed an acoustic version of “Wanted Dead Or Alive.” That performance helped spawn interest in acoustic performances by some of the hottest bands of the era and led to the creation of “Unplugged” by MTV, which featured artists such as Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Eric Clapton performing acoustic versions of some of their greatest hits.
Jon Bon Jovi has expanded his talents into other venues. He earned critical acclaim as an actor in a number of box office hits and recently became owner of an Arena Football League franchise, the Philadelphia Soul. His main love, however, is music and the band that bears his name is once again out on tour.
Bon Jovi tickets are an invitation to a great concert, and great seats are available through Ticket Express.
