Coldplay Tickets
The United Kingdom has given rock music numerous musical institutions over the years, from the Beatles and the Rolling Stones to U2 and Duran Duran.
One of their most recent additions has been the band Coldplay, which burst onto the scene in 1999 and began getting airplay on MTV and rock radio the following year. With songs like "Yellow" and "Trouble," the band quickly made a name for themselves in today's rock scene.
In late 2000, the band released the album "Parachutes" and eventually achieved double-platinum status for the record. The album earned critical acclaim and won the Best Alternative Music Album award at the 2002 Grammy Awards.
Their next album, "A Rush Of Blood To The Head" came out in the summer of 2002, and songs like "Clocks," "The Scientist" and "In My Place" helped the band further their cause as one of the top young acts in the world. They were named the best artist and best band by readers of Rolling Stone magazine in 2003, and their album won Best Alternative Music Album at the 2003 Grammys. The following year, the single "Clocks" won the Grammy for Record of the Year.
Their third album, "X&Y" came out in 2005 and was the best-selling album of the year, turning over 8 million in sales. The album included tracks like "Speed Of Sound" and "Fix You" and spurred the album as it debuted at No. 1 in 22 countries.
The band is touring this summer in support of their new album, "Viva la Vida" that is coming out this summer. They will perform at Qwest Center in Omaha on Sunday, Aug. 3, and you can get your tickets now at Ticket Express -- where no event is ever sold out.
